Project Scheduling
  • Develop an optimum project scheduling in term of cost, time and quality
  • Project time is the sum of total activities in the critical path.
  • Project and activities have constrain
  1.  Dates fixed by contract
  2. Cash flow
  3. Resource limitations
  4. External approval
          
Gantt chart
1.1 Gantt Cartt -
  • Gantt chart is a matrix of row and columns. The time scale is indicated along the x axis. Activities are arranged on the y axis.
  • Gantt are usually used to represent the project schedule. Gantt charts should be updated periodically.

Work Breakdown Schedule
  • Breaking down project tasks to smaller work packages
  • Smaller packages facilitate planning, costing and management.
  • Reduces risk
  • Increases chances of success

1.3 WBS

Network Diagram
  • Time and milestone is identified for each activity
  • Symbols used are arrows and nodes indicating activities and milestone
  • Network diagram facilitates project management and control
  • contains networks of activities or tasks aranged in a sequence or parrallel.
